TATTER SCRAPTACULAR

TATTER’s inaugural SCRAPTACULAR scrap sale & library benefit featuring The Green Lady of Brooklyn!

Calling textile lovers, sewists, menders, and anyone with a scrappy spirit! Join us for TATTER SCRAPTACULAR, an EPIC scrap sale and library benefit to raise dollars for the buildout of TATTER’s new museum space in downtown Brooklyn!

SCRAPTACULAR spans four days, June 19th through June 22nd, 2025, and aims to be one the largest sales of quality fabric remnants in recent memory! The bulk of beautiful scraps on offer are fabric samples and vintage clothing from the renowned archive of The Green Lady of Brooklyn: historical fabrics, antique quilt blocks, and beautiful folk textile remnants from around the world. Additionally, off-cuts of original designer fabrics have been donated by Chinar Farouqui of Injiri, Susan Hahn of Auntie Oti, and Matthew Aprile of Indi & Ash, to name a few.

The evening of Thursday, June 19th is our ticketed preview event honoring Elizabeth Sweetheart (affectionately known as “The Green Lady of Brooklyn”) and features a Silent Auction showcasing scrappy, original artworks from renowned textile artists including Megan Canning, Wanett Clyde, Lindsay Degen, María José Durán, Aaron Sanders Head, Rose Pearlman, Elliot Rockart, Denyse Schmidt, Hannah Schultz, Ilana Saraf, Selina Ben, and Karen Stevens…among others!

Admission to the TATTER SCRAPTACULAR will be free from Friday, June 20th to Sunday, June 22nd! During these 3 days, enjoy food trucks, live music, mending and patchwork instruction, vintage clothing, t-hsirt making, and many, many patterns and ideas for what to do with all of your newfound scraps!
